Fives Machining supporting PSA in the complete refurbishment of its Ernault Lathes in Mulhouse (France)
Since 2016, Fives Machining's Global Services teams have been working with PSA to refurbish their old generation Ernault lathes on the car’s wheel hub machining line at their Mulhouse site, France.
After a first order for retooling as part of the evolution of their production, PSA renewed their confidence in the Global Services teams three times, in addition to retooling, to completely refurbish cells of two Lathes each. The services, which include the complete overhaul of each machine (electrical, mechanical and automation), electrical rewiring, replacement and reprogramming of CNC, etc., were carried out in the summer, when production was stopped, according to specifications and schedule, to PSA's complete satisfaction.
