ITAS Ductflame

Modular duct burners with high thermal efficiency and flexibility

Fives offers a wide range of heating systems to maximize efficiency and ensure safety. Our ITAS Ductflame in-duct burners offer high thermal efficiency and flexibility and are suitable for various process conditions.

This range of industrial burners is ideal for dryers and furnaces, and helps our clients exceed their production objectives. The burners are used in various industries and markets, including paper, printing and converting, cement and minerals, gypsum, food and feed, ceramics, cogeneration, steam generation, painting, textile, automotive and general drying.

ITAS Ductflame H/T/C: flexible burners for hot air generation

ITAS Ductflame H/T/C burners are designed for applications requiring large quantities of warm and clean air. They work with fixed, fresh or pre-heated combustion air and are used in hot air generator applications under all process conditions.

Different capacity combinations can be selected in order to configure the burners as per client needs:

  • Burner duty (LHV): 120 kW to 30 MW
  • Turndown ratio: up to 20:1
  • Upstream process air: up to 400°C (752°F)
  • Downstream process air: up to 800°C (1,472°F)

ITAS Ductflame R: an efficient solution for low air quantities

The ITAS Ductflame R burner is designed for all processes where the external combustion air quantity is expected to be as low as possible and modulated. Combustion air is directed into the burner by a fan.

Fives’ ITAS Ductflame R burner is used in hot air generator applications under different conditions. It works with gas and modulating air, fresh or pre-heated combustion air to increase the overall combustion and system efficiency.

The burner’s capacity can be configured to:

  • LHV: 125 kW to 30 MW
  • Turndown ratio: up to 10:1
  • Upstream process air: up to 750°C (1,382°F)
  • Downstream process air: up to 1,200°C (2,192°F)

ITAS Ductflame F: ideal for high-temperature applications

Fives’ ITAS Ductflame F burner is used for high temperature applications. It is especially suitable for hot gas generator applications where the upstream process flow is hot and/or contains limited oxygen. Within this burner, combustion air is taken from the process air according to exhaust gas temperature and oxygen percentage.

The ITAS Ductflame F is typically used in after turbine systems. It can be set to multiple process modes, either through turbine or through fresh air mode (when the turbine is off).

The burner is gas-controlled and has a flexible modular design with different possible combinations:

  • LHV: 300 kW to 30 MW
  • Turndown ratio: standard up to 10:1 (can be increased further with a staging system)
  • Upstream process air: up to 750°C (1,382°F)
  • Downstream process air: up to 1,200°C (2,192°F)

ITAS Ductflame L: a gas-controlled burner using minimal oxygen

The ITAS Ductflame L burner is designed for installations where the objective is to obtain air recovery while introducing a minimum quantity of fresh air. It is particularly suited to hot gas generator applications where the upstream process flow is relatively cold and contains limited oxygen.

Within this burner, about half the air used is from the combustion process, and the other half is primary fresh or pre-heated air.

Our ITAS Ductflame L burner is generally used in gas motor exhaust systems. It is gas-controlled, with a flexible modular design configurable to diverse combinations:

  • LHV: 300 kW to 30 MW
  • Turndown: up to 10:1
  • Upstream process air: up to 750°C (1,382°F)
  • Downstream process air: up to 1,200°C (2,192°F)
