The 3,300 tpd Tula (Mexico) cement plant, supplied by Fives to Cementos Fortaleza on a turnkey basis, implemented our latest technologies in terms of energy savings and environmental footprint. The global electrical consumption reached 63.8 kWh/t (for CPC 30 R) from preblending to cement silo, including auxiliaries. The same FCB Horomill® grinding system installed for both raw and cement grinding sections is the key to achieve this overall cement line performance and to benefit from significant energy savings. In addition, this grinding technology operates without any water injection, for better cement quality and sustainability.
