Landis 3LVe grinding machines for rotors and transmission shafts to support the EV industry
A large automotive OEM has selected Fives to manufacture a Landis 3LVe machine, to grind rotors and pinion shafts for their new Battery Electric Vehicle line. The evolution of the decades old partnership with this customer, is helping to catapult both organizations further in the transition of ICE to EV engines.
Using the integrated B-Axis, Fives expands on the long success of the 3L grinder. The Landis 3LVe’s optimized design provides a robust platform for optimal reliability and efficiencies with state of the art technology. The machine was shipped in early 2021. Grinding | Ultra Precision teams look forward to continued growth with this customer and many others moving towards e-mobility in the future.
The same customer has purchased a second Landis 3LVe machine, that will be built in Landis Ltd. based in the UK, which will be shipped at the end of 2021 to the same location. There will be additional lines and multi-year agreements to come as well.
