Electrical steel is a special steel tailored to produce specific magnetic properties, resulting in low power loss per cycle, low core loss, and high permeability. It is extremely challenging to produce. Fives offers a wide range of technologies for the production of non-grain oriented (NGO) and grain oriented (GO) electrical steel for the booming e-vehicle market, as well as and high-voltage power transmission.
