Bring expands in Northern Stockholm with a new automated terminal powered by Fives
Bring is preparing to significantly scale its operations in northern Stockholm with a new terminal designed to support the region’s fast‑growing parcel demand. Stockholm, the Nordic area’s largest e‑commerce market, requires a logistics infrastructure capable of handling rapidly increasing volumes, and Bring is taking a decisive step to meet this need.
A strategic investment driven by rapid growth
In recent years, Bring has seen volumes rise consistently, to the point of nearing the capacity limits of its current Västberga terminal. To maintain service quality and reduce delivery times, the company is investing in a new facility that will triple its processing capacity thanks to advanced automation. The terminal is expected to be operational in 2027.
Choosing Fives: a partnership built on proven success
Following the successful collaboration on the Jönköping terminal, Bring has once again selected Fives to support its expansion program. Fives’ ability to provide scalable solutions and accompany Bring throughout the project lifecycle played a key role in the decision.
“Stockholm is one of our most important markets and to continue delivering high quality and short lead times we need a terminal that can handle future volumes. That is why we are investing in an automation solution from Fives that is tailored to our needs. With our new sorting machine, we will triple our capacity in the Stockholm area,” says Hanna Jonasson, Director of Operations at Bring.
Fives’ solution: high‑efficiency automation for future growth
To manage increasing parcel flows and ensure operational continuity, Fives will supply a fully integrated automated sorting system featuring:
- 1 GENI‑BeltTM sorter, extending over 1 km
- 2 GENI‑HiveTM singulators for efficient bulk flow handling
- 8 induction lines
- Over 200 chutes
This design provides the flexibility and reliability Bring needs to support both current demand and future growth.
“Bring’s renewed trust in Fives confirms the strength of our relationship and the performance delivered in the Jönköping project.”, add Simone Bosetti, Sales Manager at Fives Intralogistics SpA. “We are proud to contribute once again to their strategic network expansion with a solution built for efficiency, scalability and long‑term value.”
Groundbreaking ceremony marks project milestone
On March 11, Bring officially celebrated the start of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by company representatives, partners and local stakeholders. The event marked an important milestone for the project and the beginning of construction of the new terminal.
