The CECIMO honors the Fives’ powerful connected application dedicated to its machine tools offer
Fives is one of the European companies that innovate in terms of digitization, and is part of the communication campaign launched by CECIMO. This campaign highlights the digitization in the machine tool sector.
Taking into account the digitization process transforming the European machine tool industry, CECIMO elaborates a compendium, collecting various business practices already on the market and showcasing the digital evolution of the sector. The project introduces 30 case studies of digitization from forerunner machine tool companies implemented across Europe.
Developed in partnership with SNCF, to be integrated into two rail machining machines, the Fives’ application aims to strengthen links between the service, the users and the machine. The operator thus has access to all the documentation in the form of an interactive 3-D mock-up and machine information in real time such as machine under power, cycle, maintenance mode, stop, spindle rotation, axis speed, name of the program being executed coupled with a new detection service that performs predictive maintenance.
