Partnership between Fives Services Gulf and Fives Nordon
Last February, a gas producer in Saudi Arabia reported to Fives an urgent need for intervention on a defective expansion joint bellows at its gas production site. Fives Services Gulf in Bahrain along with the support of Fives Nordon in France, who had carried out the project, took up the challenge to design, manufacture, transport and supervise the assembly of the compensator on site in less than two weeks, four times less than the usual time.
One day after the customer call, a Fives’ supervisor went to site and measured the dimensions of the bellows since the manufacturing drawings were not available. At the same time, the bellows design was modeled and validated at the engineering office in France.
Production was launched as a priority and the bellows were delivered in Riyadh four days later and a Fives’ representative returned to the site to supervise the delicate assembly operations.
Only ten days after the initial request, the piece was assembled in accordance with the client's expectations, who expressed his recognition to the Fives’ teams.
