La Poste Group selected Fives as partner to provide a new turnkey handling system
With more than six decades of history, La Poste Group is a public-owned limited company with different public service missions including universal postal service, press transportation and delivery, bank accessibility and contribution to regional planning and development. Today, La Poste delivers 36 million letters and parcels each working day across France.
To respect and continue following the goal to provide all users across France an accessible, permanent, robustness, reliable and fair service, the Colissimo Business Unit of La Poste Group planned a program of investments to boost and revamp the performance of its delivery network, selecting Fives as partner for its purpose.
Fives, selected supplier from a tender to automate La Poste’s new facility located in Les Arcs-sur-Argens, provides a solution that completely satisfied the operational needs of the postal organization. The turnkey sorting system will efficiently deliver 10,000 items/h in the region thanks to the GENI-BeltTM cross-belt sorter equipped with high-speed induction lines, outlets and conveyors.
This contract award and project, whose site will be open mid-2020, is a demonstration of the availability and performance of Fives’ technologies, chosen by La Poste Group from more than 20 years.
