Fives unveils its new eco-friendly building in Marseille, France
This new building brings together all operational and support functions of two of the Group’s subsidiaries for the very 1st time: Fives Pillard and Fives North American Combustion France, two worldwide leaders in industrial combustion for the cement, minerals, energy, steel, aluminum and glass industries.
Designed to limit the environmental footprint, it was built with sustainable and recycled materials and is equipped with solar panel, charging stations and beehives on the roof.
The exterior is solely made of local plants with low-water needs, one of the priorities of the region.
Quality of life at work was another key factor regarding the layout of the building which includes light-filled and spacious offices, sit-stand desks, a break room, a relaxation room and a fully equipped terrace.
An historical player of the Marseille territory
The construction of this new building marks a new milestone in Fives’ history, who has been in Marseille for over 100 years.
This regional organization enables the Group to be as close as possible to its markets, thanks to its in-depth knowledge of local particularities and to create an innovation dynamic with players from the territory.
“Located in the center of the scientific technopole of Château Gombert, this location will enable Fives, who is at the heart of its customers solutions for decarbonization, to form tight working and research relationships with the surrounding universities and schools” said Frédéric Frédéric Sanchez, Chairman of Fives group.
