Fives to supply 6 Rapidcharge® machines to test the battery packs of a major European car manufacturer
In order to meet this new manufacturing process Fives will supply 6 RapidCharge® machines for various plants. These machines test the tightness of battery packs, which must meet an IP67 protection rating. In partnership with his customer, Fives Filling & Sealing has tested various leak detection processes; only the Fives leak detection process in the Ventilated Chamber has been validated. Born from the expertise of the Filling | Sealing teams in fluid leak detection and after the feasibility study phase within its TechCenter, Fives and its customer defined a standard solution capable of integrating the future diversities of the battery pack. Two machines are being installed. The next ones will be delivered by the first quarter of 2020.
