Fives strengthens its position in the Indian Market with a new Laser Welding contract

Fives continues to develop its industrial base in India with the supply of its first laser welding machine dedicated to the assembly of shaft and gear components. This new facility in a local production plant reflects the market's recognition of Fives' technical expertise and cutting-edge solutions, particularly in the automotive sector.

Innovative technology for industrial performance

Custom-developed by our teams, this laser welding machine allows the assembly of shafts and gears, used particularly in gearboxes and automotive propulsion systems. It incorporates an 8 kW dual-core Trumpf laser source and stands out for its precision, reliability, and productivity.

Thanks to an axial and radial weld module and interchangeable tooling, it can process several families of components with optimized cycle times and clean welds, without adding metal or requiring additional machining. This technology ensures the quality required for rotating parts while offering high production flexibility.
