Daisho Seiki Corporation started its operations in Osaka, Japan, nearly 70 years ago, as an independent machine tool manufacturer for grinding applications. Today, under the leadership of its current management, it has an international reach, with two subsidiaries established in Korea and the USA, and two distribution partners in the USA and Europe.
Daisho designs and supplies optimal grinding machines and systems, achieving high precision and productivity, based on proprietary technologies. It mostly serves the needs of the automotive industry across a large range of grinding applications, including the grinding of brake discs, con-rods, plates, magnets, gear faces, bearings.
Daisho’s products mainly include horizontal axis double disc grinders, vertical axis double disc grinders, vertical axis single disc grinders, as well as bar and coil peeling machines and polishing machines. Daisho also provides the full range of services to the installed base (parts, field service and machine remanufacture).

The Grinding | Ultra Precision business line of Fives will now operates with a workforce of around 700 people located in Italy, the U.K., the United States, Japan and Korea. It will offers a complete range of grinding and ultra-precision solutions for the automotive and other industries, through a strong legacy based on 5 major names on the market: Cranfield Precision, Landis, and Landis-Bryant, Giustina and Daisho.
