Fives Landis Ltd. were pleased to host the Keighley Association of Engineers (KAoE) at their facility in Cross Hills, UK
This event was organized by fellow members of the KAoE from Fives Landis Ltd., Sean O'Driscoll (Mechanical Engineering Manager) and Phillip Armstrong (Mechanical Design Engineer). As part of their 2022 syllabus the 22 attendees, shown in the picture above, were given a full site tour. They also followed the process of placing a machine order from the sales department, to final inspection and much more in between.
Members found the visit to be very informative and interesting. With the knowledge and assistance of key Fives Landis personnel, the visit was a great success. This was the first group visit of its kind to Fives Landis since the pandemic and it’s great to once again open our doors to engage with the local community and surrounding areas.
Keighley Association of Engineers (KAoE)
With a history dating back over a hundred and twenty years the KAoE is as active today as when it first formed in 1900. Operating a syllabus of events throughout the year their aim is to inform and inspire through technical lectures on a variety of engineering subjects and visits to places of local engineering interest.
Representing all fields of engineering The Keighley Association of Engineers also offers the opportunity for local engineering company representatives and engineers to share knowledge, experiences with other like-minded individuals through its syllabus and social functions.
