Through this partnership, Fives ECL will integrate cutting‑edge robotic solutions into its Anode Rodding Shops (ARS). These systems can be seamlessly connected upstream and downstream with SOFIA (Smart On‑the‑Fly Inspection and Analysis), the Fives’ solution designed to characterize anode butt process parameters and improve operational quality.

As part of the partnership, Fives will promote, integrate and support two of Norda Stelo’s flagship robotic solutions:
• Robotic Anode Stub Cleaning
A fully automated system that replaces manual stub cleaning with high‑precision robotic tools, removing operator exposure to dust and vibration while ensuring consistent, superior cleaning quality.
• Robotic Skimming
A fixed‑base robotic system that optimizes molten metal skimming, boosting production performance and product quality while significantly reducing operator workload and safety risks.
Fives becomes the exclusive sales representative for those Norda Stelo’s robotic solutions in markets outside of Canada. Our teams, acting as the interface with the customer, will ensure the integration, deployment, and long-term support of these robotic solutions across our global offering.
