Ferroalloys Europe 2026
Showcasing expertise in ferroalloys processing
Fives is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming Ferroalloys Europe Summit, to be held in Frankfurt from June 2 to 4, 2026. This event will bring together key industry players to discuss market opportunities, regulatory challenges, and innovations. During the summit, Fives will highlight the benefits of its FCB Rhodax® technology, which is particularly well suited for challenging materials such as ferroalloys and silicon-based products (including silicon metal and ferrosilicon).
Addressing the key challenges of ferroalloys processing with material‑bed compression grinding
Producers in this sector face growing industrial constraints such as high material abrasiveness, particle size control, energy consumption reduction, and operating cost optimization. The FCB Rhodax® addresses these challenges precisely through its material-bed grinding principle, in which particles are fragmented mainly by inter-particle compression rather than mechanical impact.
This operating mode limits the generation of fines, reduces wear on mechanical components, and ensures a stable particle size distribution over time, regardless of lining wear.
High reduction ratios in a single stage to simplify processing flows
Designed to achieve high reduction ratios in a single stage, the FCB Rhodax® can replace secondary and tertiary crushing stages in many applications. This feature helps simplify process flows and optimize investment and operating costs, a significant advantage for industrial facilities.
Already successfully used for silicon metal, slags and other highly abrasive products, the FCB Rhodax® also provides great operational flexibility. Grinding parameters can be dynamically adjusted (speed, dephasing) without mechanical intervention to adapt to variations in raw material or specific customer requirements.
Fives’ commitment to supporting ferroalloys producers worldwide
By participating in the Ferroalloys Europe Connections Summit 2026, Fives reaffirms its commitment to supporting ferroalloy producers by offering robust, proven, and innovative solutions capable of addressing the sector’s technical, economic, and environmental challenges.
Come and meet us on Booth no.4 to discuss your projects.
