Driving Circular Economy in Mexico: Fives Partners with CEMEX REGENERA and CONCRETOS SUSTENTABLES

During the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Mexico, Fives signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CEMEX REGENERA and CONCRETOS SUSTENTABLES to accelerate the adoption of circular economy practices in the country’s construction industry.

The project aims to establish a recovered concrete upcycling facility within the Circular Economy Industrial Park in Tula, Hidalgo. Leveraging our FCB Rhodax® technology, the plant will enable the liberation and classification of its three components — aggregates, sand, and cement paste — on a qualitative way to further enable their complete reintegration into new concrete.

We are confident that this innovative project will demonstrate the technical and economic viability of new concrete recycling models in Mexico, fostering more sustainable industrial development aligned with national and international decarbonization policies.”
Mathias Dechelette, Regional Director, Fives Group

This collaboration represents a major step towards accelerating the transition to a circular economy in the construction industry, reducing landfill disposal, cutting carbon emissions, and creating value through circular economy solutions. By giving construction materials a second life, we are helping the industry transition to greener, more efficient models that align with global sustainability goals.

At Fives, we are proud to contribute our expertise and cutting-edge technologies to projects that drive industrial sustainability and innovation worldwide.
