AddUp continues its expansion with Poly-Shape

AddUp, a Fives-Michelin joint-venture company leader in metal additive manufacturing, announced on September 17th its project to acquire a majority stake in the French company Poly-Shape and confirms its leadership in the 3D metal printing ecosystem.

Created in 2007, Poly‐Shape offers design services and the production of parts via the 3D metal printing process in numerous fields such as tooling, aerospace, the medical and energy sector, and more specifically the motor sport sectors, working notably with a large number of Formula 1 teams. The company has a global service offer for the 3D printing of parts which integrates design assistance and the optimization of parts as well as finishing operations.

AddUp develops and markets industrial machines and production lines using metal additive manufacturing technology, commonly known as metal 3D printing.  AddUp’s offer has integrated PBF (Powder Bed Fusion) technology as well as DED (Direct Energy Deposition) Technology. AddUp also offers services, consulting and training to assist its customers in the adoption of the technology.

PolyShape will benefit from AddUp’s  proven  expertise  in  the  industrialization and management of machines as well as a reinforced access to the world of motors sports thanks to Michelin’s worldwide reputation. AddUp will bring additional resources to

Poly-Shape so that it can continue its development both in France and abroad.
