We are glad to announce our participation in the next NCB International Conference in New Delhi, India from 27 to 29 November.
Farah Diab, Area Sales Manager at FivesFCB, will present a technical paper dealing with the increase of silica content in limestone and its impact on clinker quality.
What is this about?
A common difficulty in today's quarries is the increase in silica content in limestone presenting major challenges, including poor burnability of raw meal. As the possibilities for planning new extraction areas are reduced, cement plants must therefore manage with the low-grade limestone available. This complicates the grinding process, increasing energy consumption and wear and tear on equipment.
In order to maintain production rates and ensure consistent clinker quality, cement plants have to use high-quality limestone purchased for raw meal correction, despite material and logistics costs involved.
Proposed solution:
Fives FCB's raw meal beneficiation concept eliminates silica from cement raw meal, improving clinker quality while maintaining a constant production rate.
