A long-standing player in the logistics sector wanted to better leverage its new production line by integrating digital tools capable of detecting real-time drift or performance anomalies in their sorting system. To meet this need, Fives CortX deployed its intelligent supervision solution. Providing operators with continuous visibility over production and the ability to intervene quickly when deviations occur. Today, approximately 160,000 data points are collected and analysed in real time and displayed on visual management boards, allowing for faster and more effective responses.
The challenge:
In a service hub, all equipment (conveyors, sorters, etc.) is typically managed by a control-command system, complemented by a supervision tool (SCADA) responsible for monitoring operational faults.
However, these systems do not always allow operators to visualise or understand why performance drops at a given moment. Issues can arise at any level of the installation, sometimes within a subsystem not visible from the control panel, making diagnosis more complex.
The FIVES solution
CortX Alchemy allows for precise monitoring of the entire production line’s performance and provides a dynamic synoptic view to highlight potential bottlenecks.
In the control room, screens display a simplified global overview of the line, which operators can zoom into for more detailed information. Each subsystem is identified based on data from the equipment’s control-command system.
Based on a “low-code”, everything is configured directly via mouse by the domain experts.
A Replay function enables operators to review a given period at different speeds, analysing subsystem behaviour to identify the root cause of any deviation or incident.
