ENTRY SECTION
Our advanced tube mill entry sections are complete with coil loading systems, uncoilers, pinch roll and flatteners, strip joiners, and accumulators for increased efficiency for a variety of applications:
- Uncoiler: full range of single or double arm uncoilers with fully automatic mode for carbon or stainless steel strip preparation
- Strip joiner: ensures precise, fast and reliable joining of steel strips with fully remote control
- Accumulator: horizontal and vertical strip accumulators offer careful handling and ensure optimum efficiency and safety control
Small & Medium Mills
Small and medium mills allow for precision and speed for a variety of applications including the mechanical, automotive, and structural industries as well as high dimensional tolerance rounds, extreme rectangular tubes, and API tube and pipes.

Proven results
Fives was contracted to design and supply a complete solution for Husteel, a leading welded tube and pipe manufacturer for the oil and gas industry. The mill will produce tube and pipe with a diameter of 60 to 114 mm and a wall thickness of up to 10mm for Husteel’s new plant in the USA.

Specialty mills

Cold reducing mills
Are designed for specialty tubes with in-line annealing.
With size range from 0.177” (4.5 mm) - 8.625” (219mm) and speeds up to 800 fpm (240 mpm)
Low D/T mills
Are designed for high strength, heavy wall tubes with low diameter to thickness ratio for special mechanical options. Reduces further processes to obtain high precision, low D/T mechanical tubes.
Coiled tube mills
Are designed for API, CT, and CP applications for oil well exploration and well servicing. These include high-strength steel with tapered wall thicknesses with lengths up to 15 km (9.4 miles).
CUT-OFFS
Our wide range of flying cut-off machines offer the highest quality cut for every tube size, material type, steel grade and performance requirement. Each cut-off offers increased efficiency, minimum waste, and low maintenance requirements.
- Laser cut-offs: reduce operating costs with no blade changes and zero changeover time, no need for lubrication or cooling, and simple maintenance
