Revolutionizing the efficiency of composite laying production, the Forest-Liné ATLAS-R is an automated tape laying solution for composite manufacturing. Dedicated to extra-large tape laying, this machine is designed for high-speed, high precision layup of very large parts, with material widths up to 1 200 mm and productivity reaching 150kg/h.
Optimize productivity with the ATLAS-R
The Forest-Liné ATLAS-R takes all the benefits of the ATLAS One and adds increased capacity, productivity and robustness for extra-large tape laying applications. As a single-phase automated tape laying machine, the ATLAS-R is specifically designed to handle high material throughput and precise deposition of wide prepreg tapes.
Equipped with four configurable automated laying heads, the ATLAS-R can process a wide range of materials, including carbon prepreg, glass fibers, and technical textiles, providing exceptional flexibility for multi-material composite manufacturing. Installed on a 70-meter linear rail, the system features two layup areas of 200 m² each, enabling the production of very large composite structures.
Precision and productivity
With high-precision tape positioning, full process traceability, highly dynamic axes, and advanced drive technologies, accuracy is assured throughout the layup process. The ATLAS-R combines precision with high laying speeds, achieving deposition rates of up to 150 kg/h without compromising quality.
These capabilities make the ATLAS-R ideally suited for the production of carbon mast half-shells, for next-generation wind-assisted maritime propulsion. The same platform is equally adapted to the manufacturing of very large composite parts for the marine, aerospace, wind energy, and defense sectors.
