Mexico – Fives and Cooperativa La Cruz Azul support the Music School of Santa Cecilia

This year Fives decided to join a beautiful initiative of the French Embassy in Mexico to celebrate our July 14th National Day in solidarity with Mexican people.

We chose to support a splendid institution created by Air France pilots and crew, the Music School of Santa Cecilia in the suburbs of Oaxaca and we did it in partnership with our great client and cement producer, the Cruz Azul cooperative.

Fives and Cruz Azul donated cement and mortar for the school extension, and we had the privilege to celebrate it with the young musicians on June 21st!

The cooperation between Cruz Azul and Fives dates back to 2017, when Cooperativa La Cruz Azul S.C.L. awarded Fives FCB with two contracts for the engineering, supply, construction and commissioning of two raw meal grinding plants on a turnkey basis, in Mexico. The first one, dedicated to the new clinker line no.10 Project, is installed in the Cruz Azul Hidalgo Plant. The second one is installed in the Oaxaca Lagunas Plant, as part of the new clinker line no.5 Project.

Each grinding plant is fitted with one FCB Horomill® 4000mm grinding mill and one FCB TSV™ Classifier 6500mm.

The performances achieved with the FCB Horomill® in terms of lowest electrical consumption and zero water operation, its compact footprint, as well as the numerous references - around twenty Horomill® grinding mills implemented in Central & Latin America, have been key success factors in the decision of Cooperativa La Cruz Azul S.C.L.
