Rotary kiln refurbishment for SOKA - France
Recently, Fives successfully achieved the refurbishment of a rotary kiln for the production of Kaolin at Quessoy plant (France) for SOKA (Société Kaolinière Armoricaine).
Replacement works to improve the lifespan of the burning line were carried out, including:

Implementation of a new nose-ring fitted with a downstream seal, to reduce false air flow and improve brick-lining lifetime

Machining of the tyres, replacement of the rollers and installation of a new lubrication system, to improve the kiln scanning and enable an homogenous wear of the contact areas

Installation of grease spraying system fitted with a new girth gear housing to prevent from advanced wear initiated by grease contamination.
