Fives’ presentation on digital expertise, “Digital solutions to improve OPEX, quality and productivity performance of steel processing plants,” highlighted how real-time quality management can benefit steel plants by increasing productivity, enhancing product quality, and preventing human error.
Advanced pickling technology
Additionally, industry experts from Fives attended the AIST Cold Sheet Rolling and Galvanizing Technology Committees Joint meeting, held in the same venue, to present “Overview and comparison of pickling equipment technologies to increase AHSS pickling speeds.” This presentation featured an outline of pickling equipment and technologies to process AHSS / Gen 3 material: a high-strength, low-weight material for automotive and other demanding applications.
