FIVES CONFIRMS ITS POSITION AS A WORLD LEADER IN  HIGH-PRECISION STAINLESS STEEL ROLLING MILLS

MEETING THE NEEDS OF CUTTING-EDGE INDUSTRIES

Fives has successfully commissioned new ultra-high precision stainless steel cold rolling mills at the Zhejian Yongjin Stainless Steel Group and Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Steel Company plants in China.

The new DMS 20Hi EcoMill is able to obtain strip thickness as low as 30 microns across a width of 1,250 mm, which is a world record in stainless steel rolling. They are designed to meet stainless steel requirements in cutting-edge industries such as the automotive, electronics or photovoltaic panel sectors. 

The DMS 20Hi EcoMill draws on the latest technological developments, notably with a faster rolling speed, a new strip and work roll spray system design, new wipers, improvements to the fume exhaust system and a cutting-edge concept applied to flatness actuators and the mandrel greasing system.
