Fives was awarded an order from Outotec for the supply of three Enhanced All-Dry scrubbing systems
In early January, Fives was awarded an order from Outotec Energy Products for the supply of three Enhanced All-Dry (EADTM) dry scrubbing systems.
The three identical EAD™ systems will control emissions from three Outotec gasifiers to be installed in the United Kingdom. The gasifiers are designed to process woodwastes and refused-derived fuels.
The EADTM scrubbing system was invented by Fives in the 1980s and has been widely installed mainly in North America for control of particulate and acid gas emissions, including SO2, HCl and HF. The scrubbing principle is based on recirculation of conditioned hydrated lime from the baghouse to the proprietary Venturi Reactor where the primary contact takes place between the reagent and the acid gases.
Delivery of the three EADTM scrubbing systems will be completed before the end of 2016 and the systems are scheduled to start operation in 2018.
