After 2 years of renovation, the Airbus Nantes plant receives a second Forest-Liné Macbormill multi-axis gantry milling machine.
For several months, within Metal Cutting | Composites activity, around ten trades dedicated to Service succeeded one another on the plant to realize the complete retrofit of the machine: project manager, mechanical assemblers, hydraulicians, wire operators, automations, electricians, design office engineers, etc.
Some sub-assembly have been renovated in the specialized workshops of Global Services in France (Vaulx en Velin and Albert), workshops where this same machine was built in 2001.
With two working areas of 10 m x 4.5 m and X-axis stroke of almost 25 m, combined with two 5-axis milling heads side by side, the Forest-Liné Macbormill milling machine remains a reliable and efficient production tool for machining large aluminium parts.
