Fives commissioned four Pillard NANOxFLAM® burners for a Chinese client

Fives commissioned four Pillard NANOxFLAM® burners for a Chinese client (on four boilers at two sites in Tianjin).

 

Each burner was installed on a water tube boiler, firing on natural gas and producing a unit power of 29MW. The client chose to replace its existing burners in order to reduce the NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions. They chose the Pillard NANOxFLAM® burner thanks to its ability to achieve emissions below 30 mg/Nm3@3% O2. These four burners met expectations - after commissioning, the NOx emission levels were down to 28 mg/Nm3@3% O2 for three of the burners and only 24 mg/Nm3@3% O2 for the fourth.

The client was very satisfied with this performance and is now looking forward to the start-up of two further Pillard NANOxFLAM® burners at a third site (to be commissioned in early 2020).
