Reverse Air Baghouse Retrofits
Ash Grove Cement selected the TGT Filter to replace the reverse air filter at the Leamington, Utah plant. Fives Solios devised a novel plan to demolish the existing filter and install new TGT Filter casings and drop-out chamber on top of the old hoppers and support steel. The work included a new 4,000 HP ID fan, material handling system and was completed on budget and on time during a 28 day outage.
The project was exceptionally successful, as the plant achieved a 14% production increase, resulting directly from the higher air flow and lower pressure losses in the new system.
Electrostatic Precipitator Retrofits
Heidelberg chose to convert their ESP to a TGT Filter at Lehigh Edmonton in 2004. The new TGT Filter casing fit nicely atop the existing hopper and support structure. The turnkey project was completed in just five weeks during brutal winter conditions.
Because of its long bags and small footprint, the TGT Filter is ideally suited for retrofits into the casing of existing ESPs. We have developed a unique work plan to do so with minimum plant down-time.
