Fives Solios has also developed advanced predictive melting software called ‘Melt master 2’. This software allows a furnace operator to enter scrap content into recipe menu, the predictive software in turn prompts when “flat bath” will be achieved along with all the necessary alloying times, quantities and final metal temperature at the end of the heating cycle, this increases safety and maximises plant efficiency by reducing the amount of manual operations required.
