Very low NOx and CO emissions for two 50 MW OMNICAL watertube boilers 

The Karlsruhe (Germany) Urban Heating Company has purchased 2 (new) hot water OMNICAL boilers type 5 CMW, with a total power around 100 MW.

The specification lead to the supply of dual fuel burners able to comply with the following emission limits @ 3 % O2 (dry basis):

when firing natural gas NOx < 100 CO < 50,

when firing Diesel Oil NOx < 150 CO < 50 Smoke index < 1 (Bacharach),

such levels applying for the entire burner operational range over a 1 to 5 turn-down ratio.
