Such revamping which was carried out for the heating period 1999-2000, was for the purpose of allowing boiler no.4 of the “Esplanade heating plant” in Strasbourg (France), to become in compliance with the new emission standards which were in
preparation at the time, but are now strictly applicable. The European Directive 20101/80/CA has been made mandatory for any new industrial boiler due to the national decree dated June 20, 2002, which obliges the following emission limits to
be met:

and < 120 mg/Sm3 when firing gas |
