Reduction of polluting emissions when firing heavy fuel-oil at the C.P.C.U., Grenelle Heating Plant (Paris) 

The C.P.C.U. (Parisian Company for Urban Heating) exploits the heating steam network of Paris, including several heating plants as well as the steam distribution network feeding more than 5,000 clients, for a total heating power of more than 4,000 megawatts.

The new European Regulations obliged C.P.C.U. to apply the best available techniques aiming at reducing the polluting emissions.

This is why the Grenelle Heating Plant has been equipped with two new boilers supplied by C.C.T. (It) of 90 MW each (122 t/hr steam) fitted with 2 x 2 Fives Pillard burners type GRC LONOxFLAM FO, designed to comply with the new emission limits.
