The boiler house at S.O.D.C (Sté Orléanaise de Distribution de Chaleur), subsidiary to ELYO Centre Ouest, is fitted with 4 superheated water boilers (30 km heating network: equivalent of 12,000 housings).
Modernization of boiler 4 comprised the replacement of a heavy-oil Fives Pillard burner by a Fives Pillard GRC LONOxFLAM® fueloil burner, in order to reduce NOx and CO emissions, as per the ministerial decree of 30 June 2003, imposing:
NOx 450 mg/Nm3 (equivalent NO2) @3%O2 dry basis.
CO 100 mg/Nm3 @3%O2 dry basis.
