As part of the vast Chinese nuclear program launched in 2004, Fives Nordon signed on November 27th two significant contracts with CNPEC and CNNC.
1/ Order for RCC-M welded carbon steel tubes for CNPEC:
We are responsible for supplying RCC-M class welded carbon steel tubes for the new nuclear power units of:
• Yangjiang, Units 3 to 6
• Ningde, Units 3 and 4,
• Fangchenggang, Units 1 and 2.
Sign of renewed confidence, this order follows those already attributed by this customer within two previous contracts signed in 2006 and 2008 for the supply of RCC-M tubes for 10 nuclear power units.
2/ Order for pressurized surge lines for CNNC:
The customer entrusted us with the manufacture of pressurized surge lines for 6 new units of second generation nuclear power units of:
• Fuqing, Units 1 and 2,
• Fangjiashan, Units 1 and 2,
• Changjiang, Units 1 and 2.
Fives Nordon was selected for its specific expertise in bending activities, since we are currently the only company qualified for performing the bending of these lines according to the requirements of the RCC-M code.
