For Orium's new 12,000-m² logistics site located in Mâcon (France), Fives Cinetic has just successfully commissioned a mechanized system interfaced with the
Reflex® WMS (Hardis).
Orium is a service provider specialized in e-business and has enjoyed sustained growth of 50% per year since its creation. The new multi-customer site in Mâcon is exemplary of its capacity to integrate intelligent logistics: Mechanization and IT.
The mechanized order-preparation solution realized by Fives Cinetic operates using the "pick and pack" principle, with picking stations, WCS Trace®, packaging and automated sorting for a throughput of up to 10,000 parcels per day.
The mechanization project was completed within a record time of only 4 months, allowing the Mâcon site to quickly ramp up its throughput to the nominal values.
