Renault has entrusted Fives Cinetic with the supply of part of its new plant in Tangier, Morocco

Handling equipment developed by Cinetic Assembly

At the start of 2010, Cinetic Assembly and Renault signed a contract for the supply of all handling equipment for the Sheet-Metal and Final Assembly workshops of its "greenfield" project in Tangier, Morocco.

This new plant will produce Dacia vehicles as of July 2011. The installed capacity will be 175,000 vehicles/year for 3 models.

This order follows on from the successful delivery of the Nissan project in Barcelona plant, Spain, for which Cinetic Assembly completed reception testing in record time for this transformation work performed for the launch of the new Nissan NV 200.

Furthermore, Cinetic Assembly was selected by Renault for this international project despite strong Asian competition.

A similar second phase will allow plant capacity to be increased to 350,000 vehicles/year. It is foreseen to start the construction work for this extension in 2012.

The successful completion of this project, and the satisfaction of Renault Nissan, will allow Cinetic Assembly to take a favorable position in this development.
