Cinetic Machining has recently developed a new version of its extrusion bars milling center, the MGP 150. This high-productivity machine system allows for the production of long or short finished parts at reduced production costs. This version has been specifically developed for extrusion profiles with cross sections of up to 150x150 mm.
The MGP 150 retains all the main innovations and principal qualities of its elder sibling, the MGP 300, which is already widely used in the aeronautical world:
The "Push-Pull" principle, allowing continuous machining of the bar without repositioning, regardless of part length, and ensuring faultless machining free from surface defects, endows it with unequalled productivity.
This patented principle is associated with a main electrospindle allowing very high-speed machining of extrusion profiles.
The "Autoverse" feature allows the part to be automatically turned around at reference points, shortening working time and improving machining quality.
The universal clamping system permits the holding of different sized bars and the precise positioning of references - allowing a reduction of tooling costs.
It is therefore equipped with all the necessary features for the optimization of chip, trimming and bar removal, part repositioning as well as the associated productivity indicators.
An important advantage of the MGP 150 over the previous generation of MUPEX 150 machines is the availability of additional spindles allowing further operations to be performed without losing time due to tool changes and thus maintaining the main electrospindle.
