The Atlantic group chose Cinetic Automation to provide automated cells and gantries (linear robots) to manufacture combined solar and electrical water-heaters for their production facility in Fontaine (France).
This facility is dedicated to the new bi-energy water heater production line. Atlantic requested that this line could be flexible enough to accommodate a wider range of tanks: 3 different diameters with lengths ranging from 0.8 to 1.8 m with a cycle time of 30s. All adjustments (grippers and machines) should be fully automated.
Cinetic Automation’s dedication to propose innovative but robust and reliable solution won the confidence of Atlantic to supply four different automated cells in the course of the complete new designed facility:
One tank press fitting cell, composed of 2 press-fitting machines and 3 NC loader gantries. The complete cell includes 18 numerical axis.
One in-line tank welding cell composed of two welding machines and one gantry
Two tank enameling cells composed of 4 enameling process stations and a robotic loading (picture)
Two robotic tank handling robotic cells composed of overhead conveyor interface, a tank control station and assembly tank conveyor
Cinetic Automation also supplied to the site linear robotic component (E.T.F.A. gantry T2) to be directly integrated with the Atlantic’s engineering team along their other process.
The plant commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter 2010.
