Renault Sovab Batilly entrusted Cinetic Assembly with the body in white and final assembly workshops’ modifications for the manufacturing of the new X62 model, with the aim of increasing the production volume to 30 jobs per hour. The Société of Vehicles Batilly (SOVAB), a 100% Renault subsidiary, assembles two light truck vehicles, the Master and the Mascott. The plant has a manufacturing capability of 600 vehicles per day.
The company’s strong pace of development is in response to the strong market demand for this type of vehicle. The turnkey project was achieved in two phases, using a wide range of comprehensive services:
Steel work,
Civil engineering,
Automated overhead and floor handling solutions,
Lighting,
Trackside services
Etc.
Some key figures illustrate the size of the project, which was commissioned on schedule:
1100 tons of equipment were installed

4 weeks to assemble and to implement the new equipment
The preparatory phase took place from April to July 2008 when 50% of the equipment was installed and the second, during the plant annual closure, in August when the rest of the work was completed.

Cinetic Assembly also improved, the wheel and tire storage and trackside delivery system in the final assembly shop with new fully automated and secured devices as well as in the body shop, where a new electric monorail system (VDI 500) for the handling of body sides was set up.
