Companhia Energética São José (CESJ) is a cane sugar factory located in Colina – São Paulo State – BRAZIL.
Stimulated by the expanding local market of ethanol-fuel and taking advantage of huge cane field availability in the area, Açúcar Guaraní decided an ambitious evolution for CESJ, while Brazil was improving its experience in co-generation.
Two main objectives were defined for this factory:
increase its capacity from 7.000 tcd up to 24.000 tcd
diversify the production : in addition to sugar, CESJ will produce ethanol and will
export energy to the electrical network
As a consequence, the investment policy was defined by purchasing high capacity unit equipment that allows significant energy consumption savings.
Açúcar Guaraní was naturally impressed by Fives Cail technology and has installed the following equipment since 2006.
Extraction: 5 MillMax®102 to crush the cane
