2006 was marked at Fives Cail by the construction and commissioning of the

10,000 t/d beet sugar factory in BOGAZLIYAN (KAYSERI SEKER group), in Turkey.

This industrial project has been realised by a French - Turkish consortium and delivered within a record time schedule: 17 months between the contract activation and the start-up that took place on December 1st 2006.

The selected technology was also a major challenge : the process line combines the most developed Fives Cail technologies.

Purification : Pre-Limer, Limer, Carbonation

Evaporation : 5 effects Falling Film Evaporators

Crystallisation : Continuous Vacuum Pans on 3 strikes, moving layers

vertical cooling crystallisers, and the latest generation SUMO pumps.

Centrifugation : High capacity FC1550 Continuous Centrifugal and ZUKA® 2250

Batch Centrifugals

Drying : Multitube.

Designed with a very high level of automation and a very low steam and electricity consumption, this sugar factory is now considered as the most modern one in the world.
