Fives Cail
has obtained two new orders for MillMax®

Thanks to the high levels of performance realized at the Al Abbas factory, Fives Cail was awarded a new order in Pakistan. A MillMax® 78 will be commissioned at the Mehran sugar factory as the first mill in a tandem at the end of this year.

At the beginning of 2011, Fives Cail finalized the order for an In Line Shredder and two MillMax® 78 for the Ingenio Pucala plant in Peru.

In July 2010, a complete MillMax® tandem was commissioned at the Dhanalakshmi plant in India, where only four MillMax® 78 provide 95.8% POL extraction with reduced energy consumption. In November 2010, the Richard Toll plant in Senegal started the crop with a MillMax® 84 in final position. Four other MillMax® 84 will be installed and commissioned this year, replacing the existing mills, to constitute a complete MillMax® 84 tandem.

With more than 40 references in the Americas, Africa and Asia, Fives Cail's MillMax® is the unique and patented sugar cane mill providing savings on global investment, maintenance costs and energy consumption while providing excellent performance. In a cogeneration context, Fives Cail's clients will achieve an additional gain on their energy exportation to the external grid and also on their carbon credits. In addition, as maintenance costs are significantly reduced, the MillMax® reduces the risk of exposure to increased raw material costs.

MillMax® users have been able to ascertain a significant reduction of the energy consumed by the mill tandem.

* average per MillMax®. The full tandem power consumption at the Dhanalakshmi plant is only
30.5 kWh/tf (i.e. 7.6 kWh/tf per MillMax®) compared to 10 to 13 kWh/tf for each conventional mill.
