Strong activity in Russia in the steel and glass sectors
Since three years, Fives Stein’s sales efforts in Russia have resulted in several contracts awarded by two major steel makers, Magnitogorsk (MMK) and Severstal, for reheat furnaces equipped with the latest
Digit@l Furnace® technology.
Fives Stein received also a contract from Novolipetsk for the supply of a
horizontal galvanizing line featuring the latest developments in horizontal furnace technology.
In the glass sector, Fives Stein is now building a complete hot end for
a float glass line (melting furnace, tin bath, annealing lehr and air pollution control system) for Yugrosprodukt.
To face up the fast expanding Russian economy and to strengthen its position in this country, Fives Stein decided to set up an office in Moscow, which will support Fives Stein in its sales and projects operations.
