Working ends, forehearths and feeders

Fives Stein have been at the forefront of glass conditioning technology for over 90 years specialising in the production of feeder mechanisms, tailor made glass conditioning solutions, and machinery for use at the hot end of all types of hollow glass production.

The proven and trusted BH-F 400 and 4000 series working end and forehearth continues to offer solutions to the increased demands placed upon the today's glass producer.  The combinations of BH-F cooling systems, VSF combustion systems and graded insulation are used to give a high cooling capacity, with relatively low cooling air, lower fuel consumption and consistently good thermal homogeneity and stability.
Developed from experience gained by providing hundreds of forehearths to solve glass conditioning problems in a variety of glass sectors, our forehearths are tailored to suit a specific application whilst remaining flexible enough to cope with changing circumstances.
These can be supplied with BH-F colorant forehearths systems and/or BH-F stirrer systems to suit specific production requirements.  In addition, the BH-F oxy-gas combustion system can be used with the potential of increasing the production throughput without compromising thermal homogeneity.
Our forehearth systems can be supplied with the latest automatic temperature control systems or, alternatively, we will work alongside the customer's own control system.
BH-F Feeder Mechanisms offer compatibility, according to capacity, with every kind of forming machine.  From the established mechanical
50 series and 900 series
mechanisms to the newer electronic 1000 series mechanisms and ESG feeder, BH-F is continually improving its gob delivery technology. The patented Cascade Spout bowl and Electronic Feeder conversions are also available to improve the performance of existing feeder mechanisms previously supplied by BH-F and others.
