ESG feeder

The BH-F ESG feeder uses precision servo drive systems, combined with the latest generation of ballscrews and specially designed arcual shears, to produce high quality gobs at slow production speeds.

The feeder uses the BH-F cascade bowl to help ensure thermally homogenous gobs. High glass quality gobs are produced by the gob forming process, thus avoiding the use of the low quality surface glass associated with conventional slow speed glass gathering. The shearing, plunger and tube mechanisms have been designed so that they can all be mounted together on either the right or left hand side of the spout to simplify integration with the forming process. This, complimented by the BH-F ESG feeder’s capability of producing consecutive gobs of differing weights, offers the ability to feed two different forming processes from one feeder.

Features:
Speeds from 2 to 20 cuts per minute
Gob weights up to 5kg (11lbs)
Servo driven arcual shears
Servo and ballscrew driven air balanced plunger mechanism
Programmable gob forming
cascade bowl

Benefits:
Replacement for hand and ball gathering
High quality glass gobs
Increased productivity
The ability to produce two different gob sizes per feeder cycle
Reduced down time at job changes
Homogeneous gob temperatures
