Thanks to a long list of references marking the achievements of recent years, Fives FCB secured a contract with Holcim for the delivery of a complete Greenfield cement plant with a capacity of 3,500 tpd in Mexico. |

This new plant features the latest technologies developed by Fives FCB to reduce the whole installation’s energy consumption and NOx emissions, including the Zero-NOx precalciner which allows for the use of alternative fuels without emitting NOx at this stage of the process. |

The cement grinding plant is also equipped with three Horomill® grinding mills, the most energy efficient technology, and which represents a huge advantage in the arid Mexican State of Sonora where the cement plant is being constructed as it does not require any water injection.
The plant is also equipped with a TSVTM classifier and a rotary kiln. |

The cement plant was commissioned by the end of 2010 and was inaugurated on March 10th 2011, in the presence of the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon. |
