The organization of Fives FCB finds its efficiency and its reactivity in a limited hierarchical structure which operates with 6 Departments including skill teams or project teams depending on the activity:
1. Commercial Department
It is responsible of marketing the equipment and services offered by Fives FCB. It detects the new projects, estimates their feasibility and key-success factors, prepares and negotiates the offers to the customers. It is organized in 3 units: complete cement plants, individual equipment and shops, after-sales assistance (spare parts, maintenance, revamping).
2. R&D Department
It is responsible of searching and developing the new technologies answering to the customers' expectations. It is in charge of the good implementation of the Fives FCB proprietary processes and equipment. It operates with Product managers, Process engineers and a team of technicians executing the necessary tests, measurements and analysis.
3. Procurement Department
It is responsible of sourcing the mechanical equipment, proprietary or not, from international sub-suppliers and manufacturers, with the required competitiveness and quality. It ensures the necessary follow-up, from the price estimation up to the delivery and quality control.
4. Execution Department
It is responsible of the successful completion of the orders, from the effectiveness of the contract till the final acceptance, using the resources of its sub-units dedicated to project and site management, civil & structures, scheduling, logistics, and erection.
5. Engineering Department
It is responsible of the design of the plants and of the proprietary equipment, from the preparation of the technical specification of the proposals until the execution, delivery and commissioning. Electricity and automation unit is attached to the engineering department.
6. Administration & Finance Department
It is responsible of the implementation of the financial information according to the legal and internal procedures, with the necessary resources for accountancy, cash-flow and cost control, and in relation with the financing institutions and banks. It is also in charge of managing the human resources of Fives FCB.
