DMS becomes Fives DMS and adopts the new visual identity of the Fives Group

1972: Historically, D.M.S was created in 1972 by the merger of DUJARDIN, Société de
Construction de MONTBARD and Société Métallurgique du Nord (SOMENOR).
1867: The “DUJARDIN Company”, establised in 1867, originally built steam engines, then compressors and diesel engines, and from 1950 processing lines for flat products under AETNA STANDARD licence (USA)
1963: The “Société de Construction de MONTBARD” establised in 1963 by VALLOUREC in order to obtain for its own tube plants up to date equipment, built from its own engineering or under AETNA STANDARD licence.
1950:“SOMENOR” established in 1950 by YODER (USA), first specialist in the world to have perfected equipment for the welded pipes and profiled from coils.
1976: the headquarters, the Engineering Department and the Workshops were transfered to the industrial zone in LILLE – SECLIN.
1984: VALLOUREC concentrated their activity on the seamless tube and handed over the management of D.M.S to FIVES-CAIL-BABCOK-Company (F.C.B). The complementary nature of the two Companies within the iron and steel industry allowed a greater synergy to take place.
1986: D.M.S became 100% affiliated to FBC and increased its product range by the integrate of FBC’s Steel Making Equipment Division.
1993: In the framework of the legal restructuration of the FIVES LILLE Group, D.M.S has become a direct subsidiary of the FIVES LILLE Group, the parent company of F.B.C as well as of STEIN HEURTEY and many other French and Foreign companies acting as equipment suppliers to different industries such as the Iron and Steel Industry, the Cement Industry, the Sugar Industry, the Agro-Food Industry…
2007: change of name and visual identity : FIVES – LILLE Group becomes Fives and, under this new trade name, it is confirming its position as a key player in sustainable industrial development.
1st December 2007: DMS adopts the new visual identity of the Fives Group and changes its name to Fives DMS. Our brand name will become Fives DMS.
